Walking, home made honey, fountains, natural resevoir, birdwatching, cultural sites, remote hut, whitewashed hilly villages, quietness, endless Oakland, orchards, goats, cork, “tinto de verano”
Just 45 minutes from Seville you don´t expect such a rural hilly region. 4 young American under graduates decided to set off to the country side this weekend, instead of going to the beach like most of his mates. They challenged the roughness of the Sierra de Aracena and this is what they found.
“We had two intense days, walking, visiting white washed villages, bathing at a natural lake, birdwatching, learning about goats and their lovely cheese, visiting a XIII century Monastery, and much more. We did´nt meet anybody, it was surprisingly quiet, given the beauty and richness of the region in walking, traditions and wildlife. We loved it.”
